movie sunday!

Ok, so I needed my own new thing to make this more interesting :) and since most sundays I watch movies with my sister, I decided to blog about them, so heres my first try. Movies I watched today in chronological order: Management(2nd time), New Moon, Everybody's Fine, The Six Wives Of Henry Lefay, Tooth Fairy

"Management"
So early this morning i felt like watching a movie in bed, so i decided to see what movies i had on my computer, and i see one that i loved, but i had only seen once, which is Management with Steven Zahn and Jeniffer Aniston. First of all, this is a romantic comedy, but i thought it was very well made, and it was made very cleverly, and inovative, the story is about Mike Flux (Steven Zahn) whose parents own a motel, there he meets business woman Sue Claussen (Jeniffer Aniston) who is staying in Mike's motel while in a business trip, Mike instantly falls in love with her, and they develop a very strange relationship for the two days Sue stays there ending with them having sex in the laundry room, after Sue left he takes a plane to where she lives, and he stays there for a couple of days, this making their relationship even more strange, in a way they feel really comfortably with each other, but at the same time Sue is mildly creeped out by the situation, Mike goes back home, and then the whole story develops. This is not your average love movie, specially with the stalking, yougurt guru ex-punk, asian pothead and what not, this is one of those love movies where they go through a lot together, and some time passes by but its not too cheesy, I highly recomend it and I give it a 4.5 out of 5 in the felio scale of movie awesomeness

"New Moon"
Ok, this is a cult movie and I guess i should've watched it a long time ago, but i had not had the oportunity, and no matter how many people hate on the Twilight Saga I cant find anything so horrible about it and so far I've enjoyed both movies. I dont think you people really need my introduction/summary of the movie so I'll just write my thoughts about it. First of all I was expecting something really drastic to happen that would make me go either "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob" and no matter what happened i couldnt get that thought out of my head so next time i'll watch the movie before theres a new expectationn for me that will not let me watch the movie in peace, anyways the whole relationship between bella and edward, just seemed too weird to me, almost as if the director wanted the viewer to feel cold towards Edward to open up a part of the audience that would go for the new "hero" Jacob. I found kind of disturbing that bella was having a midlife crisis at 18, and i kept thinking "come on! are you freaking serious?" she is definately a little drama queen just because they wont make her a vampire, what I will give it is that a "mature" person as she thinks she is can go from loving a guy to death, to then forgeting about him, get with another guy, and then just because the guy came back she is completely in love with him, i think it is a very accurate representation of most teenage girls. to make this short i think the movie had a few flaws, and was not as good as the first movie but i did like it, and just like the first movie i liked the soundtrack a lot and the background music as well, it is an entertaining movie, and definately a must see not really because of the quality of the movie but because of the film's status and relevance in pop culture, anyways I liked it and overall I give it a 3.5 out of 5 in the felio scale of movie awesomeness (in case you were wondering what twilight would get id say its a solid 4.0) oh yeah and if you were wondering with my team afiliation is, I'm with "Team: bella is a two timing whore who struggles between necrophilia and zoophilia" haha

"Everybody's Fine"
so, the story begings with Frank Goode (Robert Deniro) shopping for new things for his home and fancy stuff to impress his kids who have already moved away and seem to be from about their late 20's to mid 30s but they all cancel on him which makes him feel really sad and lonely after we learn that his wife passed away recently, and this is all new for him. Frank decides to take a trip to visit all of them in their respective cities, after visiting one by one, he feels they're lying to him and hiding something too, but doesnt seem to understand what is happening yet. This movie carries a lot of symbolism within and i encourage you to pay attention to the little details, and try to relate it to the plot. this was a great movie with exeptional acting, and an exiting story of how his trip goes and the events in it. if you decide to watch it which i highly recomend, and you are anything like me get the kleenex ready towards the end when the painting is shown (thats all I will say :p) overall the movie is great and deals with family values so it makes you think about yourself and your own family, the plot is great, and the cast even better, I give it a 4.5 out of five in the felio scale of movie awesomeness

"The Six Wives Of Henry Lefay"
well after watching the previous movies we were feeling pretty down so we picked this movie by Tim Allen. the story begings when Tim Allen introduces himself by talking to a guy he just met and we learn that he has been married 6 times and has some issued with his daughter, shortly after Tim allen's character "Henry Lefay" dies in a parasailing accident, and the story focuses on his daughter and how she has to deal with the five ex wives and the current wife and mistress and their wishes of what to do with Henry's body and hilarity ensues (i really wanted to say that) haha well its not really that funny but it is very entertaining, with situations that include stealing cremating the body secretly by one of the psychopath ex wives who claims that was Henry's wish, but then again they all have their own thoughts about that, after that we're in for a twist and i shouldnt say anything else. This movie was cool, but i couldnt finish cause the dvd kept on skiping the end so.. i cant accurately tell how i feel about it, but i did liked what i saw and i was hooked to see how it would end, cause everything changes and some things have to be done, overall i think it was a fun movie and i give it a 3.5 out of five in the felio scale of movie awesomeness.

"The Tooth Fairy"
Well, remember this is a movie staring "the rock" so what do you really expect..
the only reason i watched this movie other than because my sister wanted to see it, is because i was told it had a good message, well this person is retarded! haha the movie was completely dumb, and the "message" was the same as in all disney movies about fantasy and all that stuff, it has that painfully overused scheme where The Rock's life changes drastically by some fantasy thing, and he doesnt like it and it interferes with his life and then everybody turns their back against him, and then he learns his lesson and everybody loves him again. i think i just descrived over 100 movies :p but you get the point, only thing i'll give it as with most movies of this type is that it is funny, but i really cant give it a higher number than a 0.5 out of 5 in the felio scale of movie awesomeness.
