movie sunday!

Ok, so I needed my own new thing to make this more interesting :) and since most sundays I watch movies with my sister, I decided to blog about them, so heres my first try. Movies I watched today in chronological order: Management(2nd time), New Moon, Everybody's Fine, The Six Wives Of Henry Lefay, Tooth Fairy

"Management"
So early this morning i felt like watching a movie in bed, so i decided to see what movies i had on my computer, and i see one that i loved, but i had only seen once, which is Management with Steven Zahn and Jeniffer Aniston. First of all, this is a romantic comedy, but i thought it was very well made, and it was made very cleverly, and inovative, the story is about Mike Flux (Steven Zahn) whose parents own a motel, there he meets business woman Sue Claussen (Jeniffer Aniston) who is staying in Mike's motel while in a business trip, Mike instantly falls in love with her, and they develop a very strange relationship for the two days Sue stays there ending with them having sex in the laundry room, after Sue left he takes a plane to where she lives, and he stays there for a couple of days, this making their relationship even more strange, in a way they feel really comfortably with each other, but at the same time Sue is mildly creeped out by the situation, Mike goes back home, and then the whole story develops. This is not your average love movie, specially with the stalking, yougurt guru ex-punk, asian pothead and what not, this is one of those love movies where they go through a lot together, and some time passes by but its not too cheesy, I highly recomend it and I give it a 4.5 out of 5 in the felio scale of movie awesomeness

"New Moon"
Ok, this is a cult movie and I guess i should've watched it a long time ago, but i had not had the oportunity, and no matter how many people hate on the Twilight Saga I cant find anything so horrible about it and so far I've enjoyed both movies. I dont think you people really need my introduction/summary of the movie so I'll just write my thoughts about it. First of all I was expecting something really drastic to happen that would make me go either "Team Edward" or "Team Jacob" and no matter what happened i couldnt get that thought out of my head so next time i'll watch the movie before theres a new expectationn for me that will not let me watch the movie in peace, anyways the whole relationship between bella and edward, just seemed too weird to me, almost as if the director wanted the viewer to feel cold towards Edward to open up a part of the audience that would go for the new "hero" Jacob. I found kind of disturbing that bella was having a midlife crisis at 18, and i kept thinking "come on! are you freaking serious?" she is definately a little drama queen just because they wont make her a vampire, what I will give it is that a "mature" person as she thinks she is can go from loving a guy to death, to then forgeting about him, get with another guy, and then just because the guy came back she is completely in love with him, i think it is a very accurate representation of most teenage girls. to make this short i think the movie had a few flaws, and was not as good as the first movie but i did like it, and just like the first movie i liked the soundtrack a lot and the background music as well, it is an entertaining movie, and definately a must see not really because of the quality of the movie but because of the film's status and relevance in pop culture, anyways I liked it and overall I give it a 3.5 out of 5 in the felio scale of movie awesomeness (in case you were wondering what twilight would get id say its a solid 4.0) oh yeah and if you were wondering with my team afiliation is, I'm with "Team: bella is a two timing whore who struggles between necrophilia and zoophilia" haha

"Everybody's Fine"
so, the story begings with Frank Goode (Robert Deniro) shopping for new things for his home and fancy stuff to impress his kids who have already moved away and seem to be from about their late 20's to mid 30s but they all cancel on him which makes him feel really sad and lonely after we learn that his wife passed away recently, and this is all new for him. Frank decides to take a trip to visit all of them in their respective cities, after visiting one by one, he feels they're lying to him and hiding something too, but doesnt seem to understand what is happening yet. This movie carries a lot of symbolism within and i encourage you to pay attention to the little details, and try to relate it to the plot. this was a great movie with exeptional acting, and an exiting story of how his trip goes and the events in it. if you decide to watch it which i highly recomend, and you are anything like me get the kleenex ready towards the end when the painting is shown (thats all I will say :p) overall the movie is great and deals with family values so it makes you think about yourself and your own family, the plot is great, and the cast even better, I give it a 4.5 out of five in the felio scale of movie awesomeness

"The Six Wives Of Henry Lefay"
well after watching the previous movies we were feeling pretty down so we picked this movie by Tim Allen. the story begings when Tim Allen introduces himself by talking to a guy he just met and we learn that he has been married 6 times and has some issued with his daughter, shortly after Tim allen's character "Henry Lefay" dies in a parasailing accident, and the story focuses on his daughter and how she has to deal with the five ex wives and the current wife and mistress and their wishes of what to do with Henry's body and hilarity ensues (i really wanted to say that) haha well its not really that funny but it is very entertaining, with situations that include stealing cremating the body secretly by one of the psychopath ex wives who claims that was Henry's wish, but then again they all have their own thoughts about that, after that we're in for a twist and i shouldnt say anything else. This movie was cool, but i couldnt finish cause the dvd kept on skiping the end so.. i cant accurately tell how i feel about it, but i did liked what i saw and i was hooked to see how it would end, cause everything changes and some things have to be done, overall i think it was a fun movie and i give it a 3.5 out of five in the felio scale of movie awesomeness.

"The Tooth Fairy"
Well, remember this is a movie staring "the rock" so what do you really expect..
the only reason i watched this movie other than because my sister wanted to see it, is because i was told it had a good message, well this person is retarded! haha the movie was completely dumb, and the "message" was the same as in all disney movies about fantasy and all that stuff, it has that painfully overused scheme where The Rock's life changes drastically by some fantasy thing, and he doesnt like it and it interferes with his life and then everybody turns their back against him, and then he learns his lesson and everybody loves him again. i think i just descrived over 100 movies :p but you get the point, only thing i'll give it as with most movies of this type is that it is funny, but i really cant give it a higher number than a 0.5 out of 5 in the felio scale of movie awesomeness.

smallville

soo, lately ive been really into smallville :p haha for some reason its more apealing to me than the previous seasons, is it me or is this season more superhero-like?, i like all the over exagerated fights and effects, it really made me think again "how cool would it be a superhero" and its definately a change from anything else on tv, this season is more like a comic, it almost has onomatopoeias like the oldschool batman show, which i think is awesome, i love that now he actually uses powers and is more surrealistic, instead of previous seasons when it felt like a detective show, or csi, i also like the lighting used for the show which brightens everything up, and reflects on the characters, again it makes for a more surreal show, and more cartoon like, this may not be the greatest show ever, the stories may not be relevant to current events, or topical, but hey.. if you want a change from everything else and feel like going back to simpler times, this is a great show :)

valentines day poem

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

We've know each other for so long
Your heart's been aching
But you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it

And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Give you up, give you up
Give you up, give you up
Never gonna give,
Never gonna give, give you up
Never gonna give,
Never gonna give, give you up

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

haha yo guys just got rick rolled! heres the video in case you feel like listening to it

valentines day

ohh what a great day for romantics and romance everywere, a day to spend with your loved one, and tell each other how much you love.... through over priced obsolesence, ohh a day that exaltates everything that makes countries around the world hate America.
ok, so its not like im grumpy cause im not dating anyone this year, (i have all the love i need) but ive always have had this problem with valentines day, its not just that macro-coorporations take advantage of the lovefools, but its us! we have come up to expect so much of this date in particular, and whether you claim whats important is love or not, most people NEED that material gift to feel loved, and if you dont get one, or if its short of their expectations people actually fight over it, on their "sacred day of love", i hate how girls actually expect us to get them something when they can get off the stress by giving us something we have the whole year anyways!(i mean sex) screw that! i say, men should be sexy too then, two can play the same game, where is the man edible underwear? how about going home and saying "listen honey, how about you go make me a few martinis, get me drunk and you can take advantage of me all you want, happy valentines day to you!" i wonder in families where the woman works and the guy stays home if the guy like sets up the mood all over the house with like candles and roses that lead to the bedroom to find the 220 pound guy with a hairy chest with honey all over him on a leopard jockstrap, now thats what i call valentines spirit what with all the sticky chest hairs and what not :p anyways, do whatever you have to do this saturday, dont stress over stupid things, and try to enjoy it, if you choose to give a gift, be special about it.... roses and chocolates, oh and a teddy bear ....... yeah, thats original, well im out, you guys have fun and spend a fun presidents day! yeah, thats why were not going to school, not cause of valentines day you retards!

im digging this song!

a bossanova twist to a grunge classic :) goodnight!

my senior ditch day

ok so today was senior ditch day but for obvious reasons im on a contract that clearly stated "student will not be late or absent unless sick" or something like that.. thing is i signed that, and i did like 3 days ago, so i couldnt break that rule, specially since how important this day is to them hahah i seriously think this day is much more exiting and important to APs than for students, recently i realised that APs are cops at heart, who do they think theyre fooling? but eh... what the hell, it keeps them busy :) anyways... today was pretty lame! although a lot of seniors didnt ditch, i think more underclassmen did, which is ok, i did that too when i was a sophmore and junior :) but i guess it was suposed to be special this year cause it was my senior year, but to be honest, i really dont care, highschool feels sooo boring now, it just got old, same people, same routine, for four years, i think this is senioritis kicking in, and it just feels like an obstacle between now and college and i cant wait till i get out! anyways.. i know its a retarded blog entry but i cant think of anything else right now, i have to do homework and maybe ill come back on and do a session to for todays entry :)

Mexican drug war

soo... it has come to my attention that this past week, and specially yesterday the Mexican government captured several heads of the infamous drug cartel "ARELLANO-FELIX" which is great... or is it? well dont get me wrong, im all against drug dealing and just drugs themselves, but i overthink things way too much, and im thinking... well, currently theres a pretty violent drug war between the Arellano-Felix cartel and the Cartel De Sinaloa, and just themselves they make quite a mess, now.. if the government keeps capturing the leaders of the mentioned criminal organizations then what are we left with?? let me put this another way, say... some country took obama, joe biden, robert gates, clinton, the eleven supreme court justice members, majority leader of the senate harry reid, and all other leaders of the country(hopefully they take sara palin), it would just be us without anyone to follow, and look at us! we dont even like each other, i guess what im trying to say is that if all the drug cartel leaders get arrested as fast as they are being arrested currently we'll end up with a bunch of confused, dangerous, mentally unstable, and highly armed delinquents that will eventually make smaller groups and most likely fight each other for territory. do we really want that to happen? if you asked me i applaud the action taken by the Mexican law enforcement agencies respectively, i had been asking for so long to deploy the troops to the streets and patrol the cities that have been hit the hardest by these organisations and just go all out, but in the end blood would end up running too. we have to start doing acting on this, or this will get out of control, only us trully have the power to bring them down. are we really that desperate, are we so weak we need substances to take control of our lives? supply and demand people, supply and demand

the truth about what happened last week

today at school, i was asked several times this, "where were you last week" so idecided to blog about it.
truth is i was hiding from the government (for reasons which shall not be discussed), so i fleed the country and i stayed at a refugee camp in nicaragua north of the capital Managua south of honduras, there i met 2 salvadorian immigrants raton, and cucho, they were going to join a small surviving group of sandinistas who were plotting to recruit people and overthrow the government, after talking to them that first day, they invited me to go with them to a commune ruled by sandinistas, so i agreed, and we left the morning after, once we got there they taught me their ideology and philosophy, they told me how they had been overthrown by the right winged group the "contras" with help of the CIA and the American govenment in 1990 even though they had been legitimately elected by a popular vote in 1979. there, they taught me several guerilla warfare techniques and i met with other rebels who told me their life stories and a few battle stories. as it was a commune they only ate what they produced themselves, we ate a lot of rice and beans, which they called morisqueta which was short for "moros contra cristianos" and it represented the christian invassion of caribea islands like puerto rico and costa rica, anyways, i met cucho's cousin Augusto Cesar, named after the real augusto cesar sandino by his rebel parents who were part of the initial sandinista movement, he was the leader of the commune and told me about an asociation with several other sandinista groups scattered around nicaragua and other south american countries, augusto taught me how to make dream catchers, and told me how the sandinista movement had a lot to do with their inca roots. friday while we were patroling the area around the commune when we stumbled upon a synthetic drug lab and we engaged in battle with them(i totally kicked ass), the ambush attack worked on our advantage, once they surrendered we took their guns and their vehicles and we headed back to the commune, although we received information that the nicaraguan government had become aware of our activities, and although i had decided to stay with them for a while longer augusto told me it was dangerous for me to stay with them and urged me to leave the commune, and he commanded someone to give me a ride to the border with el salvador, i ended up getting a ride with manuel on a HUMVEE that had been stolen from american soldiers hidden in the jungle according to manuel keeping an eye on the nicaraguan government he also told me he had family in southern california who had fleed nicaragua after the contras had gained control of their country and they were being prosecuted as enemies of the nation, before i got off he gave me a letter to send to his parents who lived in el centro california, he gave me a leather belt buckle made by them in the commune that had mesages embroided in it written in some prehispanic language, saturday i got to the honduras national airport where i took a plane to ciudad juarez, Mexico and then i took a bus home where i sent manuel's letter to his parents, that was my adventure this past week, i learned lot and i got to meet a bunch of really cool people, i think came back a much more mature person, and more aware of life, and the people around us. if you want to learn more about the sandinistas augusto gave me the url for their website. www.elpueblopresidente.com

a little about me

well im a kid who grew up around the punk rock sub-culture, so i have an interesting point of view on life. Life is starting to make sense finally and im starting to get the hang of how the world goes around (hopefully i wont trip on some mountain or something) i have a really morbid sense of humour but i just think thats just because people are not comofortable enough with who they are the same way that i am, so if you like that... stick around :) i like learning new things, and i like meeting new people that have something to say, i have a passion for 80s glam metal, mullets(business in the front, party in the back)*, and peach fuzz mustaches. i'll reveal more info about myself as i feel it is needed, but child molestors dont waste your time, just hit me up on myspace ;) haha :) stay classy!

*no pun intended

why not?

well i just felt it would be a better media to publish my blog entries instead of my myspace blog and ill just give this thing a try, hopefully you guys will read this stuff, and ill try to keep it interesting :) paz!
